Postdoctoral fellow
Silvia earned her PhD from the University Milano Bicocca, working in Antonio Lanzavecchia’s Lab. The focus of the research was engineering B and T cells with CRISPR/Cas9 to enhance cell based therapies. In the Albanese’s Lab, she is working on optimising extracellular vesicles and viral like particles as a versatile platform to achieve in vitro gene editing in primary cells. When she is not engineering cells in the lab, she is playing tennis or glued to the screen cheering for her favourite tennis player.
